BRASS TYME
Brass Tyme is a dynamic seven piece group with collective roots in 60’s and 70’s Soul and Beach music, R&B, Country, Blues, Jazz and Big Band. They are immediately recognized as the group formerly known as “Brasstown Ball”. Most of the individual members have worked together in various other combinations for almost twenty years. Their many years of experience together are evident in their tight musical arrangements and vocal harmonies. Their extraordinary versatility makes them particularly useful at festivals and company parties as well as wedding receptions, private events and club appearances.Brass Tyme features lead vocals by drummer Jimbo Durham and dual category “Cammy Award” nominated Rhonda McDaniel. Mike Hill on bass and Phil Domenech on keyboards round out the solid rhythm section and provide background vocals. The band’s sound is driven by the powerful “Modoc Brass”, featuring the sizzling saxophone of Tillman Ezernack, that big, fat trombone sound of Gavin Anderson and Tom Strayer’s biting lead trumpet and soulful, bluesy harmonica solos. Always 100% live all the time, Brass Tyme never uses prerecorded or computer generated tracks. From Patsy Cline to James Brown to Jimmy Buffet and even Glen Miller, Brass Tyme has something for everyone at your event.
